Dr. Sarah Harwood, DVM

Dr. Harwood was born in Vermont but grew up in the Duluth area. She did her undergraduate work at Macalester college in St. Paul and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She graduated from veterinary school in 1997 from the University of Wisonsin-Madison. Dr. Harwood did a one year internship in internal medicine and surgery at Boston Road Animal Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts before deciding with her husband Eric to move back to Duluth.

Dr. Harwood has been employed as a full-time veterinarian at Superior Animal Hospital since 1999. Her areas of interest include internal medicine and critical care.

Dr. Harwood enjoys running, reading, and traveling as much as possible. She sails with her in-laws on Polar Bear and participates in their Wednesday evening races throughout the summer. She also shares her home with three dogs - Hannah (Springer mix), Zoe (Labrador mix), and Tilly (Labrador/Moose? mix), two cats - Hobie Cat and Mr. Smith, and many fish.
