Dr. Robert McClellan, DVM
Dr. McClellan was raised on a dairy farm in southern Wisconsin. He completed his requirements for veterinary school at
Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, majoring in chemistry. In 1986, he received his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from
Iowa State University.
Dr. McClellan worked in a mixed animal practice in Janesville, Wisconsin for 5 years; working with dogs and cats and assorted companion
animals as well as farm animals and horses. For the next two years he worked at a companion animal emergency clinic in Rockford, Illinois
and did relief work at a variety of veterinary practices in southern Wisconsin. In 1993, he moved to Superior to work at Tower Avenue
Veterinary Clinic. Dr. McClellan purchased the practice in 1999. Tower Avenue Clinic became Superior Animal Hospital and Boarding Suites
in 2003 when it moved to its new location on East 2nd Street. Dr. McClellan’s areas of interest include: general preventative and diagnostic
medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery and rabbit medicine and surgery.
Dr. McClellan is married to Serena and has two children in grade school. He is very involved with the Superior Rotary Club and Chester Park
Church. They enjoy camping, canoeing, cross country skiing and most other outdoor family activities. Their family pets include a geriatric cat,
Madeline, one rambunctious cat Grace and two young female rats, named Splinter and Flower, that love attention.
