Dr. Patrick McKeever – Dermatology - DVM, MS, DACVD
Dr McKeever attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and received his degree in 1968.
He also went on to receive a Masters degree in Cardiovascular Surgery from Washington State University in 1970.
Dr McKeever founded the U of M college of Veterinary Medicine Dermatology Program in 1971 and served as primary Dermatology Professor from 1971-1998.
He is a longstanding member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology and was its president from 1991-1993.
He is also co-author of a problem based book on veterinary dermatology for the small animal practitioner.
Dr. Calvin Kobluk - Surgery, DVM, DVSc, Diplomate ACVS
Dr. Kobluk attended the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskachewan, Canada where he graduated in 1978.
He then went on to do a completion of his residency, he moved to the twin cities area and signed on as a faculty from 1986 to 1995.
While there he received his board certification in both large and small animal surgery.
In 1995 he and his family moved to California where, until 2001, he was a part of the Administration at Cal Poly - Pomona.
He worked as a full professor as well as helping to develop the veterinary school there where he also worked for a few years as a full professor.
In 2001, Dr. Kobluk elected to leave the practice at All Care Animal Referral Center, the nation's largest privately owned referral practice,
where he worked until his family moved back to Minnesota in 2003.
Since moving back to Minnesota he has continued to build upon his professional interests and knowledge.
He became TPLO certifed in 2003, joined the Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service in 2004,
and has had 2 articles published in JAVMA (one article on hip dysplasia, and one on femoral neck fractures) with 3 more articles pending publication.
Dr. Roger Pitts – Internist - DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Dr Pitts attended the University of Minnesota college of Veterinary Medicine where he received his degree.
He interned at New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University.
Dr Pitts completed his residency in small animal internal medicine at Colorado State University.
He served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
He then moved on to a private practice at the Rocky Mountain Veterinary Specialty Clinic in Denver Colorado.
After settling back in the Midwest he began and continues to be a consultant in Small Animal Internal Medicine in the Duluth/Superior area.
Dr. Ralph Weichselbaum – Radiology / Ultrasound - DVM, Ph.D.
Dr Weichselbaum attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and received his degree in 1989.
He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota and also had a private practice before going on to receive his PHD in Radiology and become Board Qualified with the American College of Veterinary Radiology.
Dr Weichselbaum started a referral radiology/ultrasound practice in 1996 and currently performs around1500 ultrasounds per year.
He also has opened a facility in the Twin Cities for the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism using radioactive iodine.
Marcia Swanson – CVT – Veterinary Massage and Rehabilitation Therapy
Marcia has been working in the veterinary industry since 1988.
She is licensed in the state of Wisconsin and certified in the state of Minnesota.
She received her CVMRT certification from the only state approved course in Veterinary Massage and Rehabilitation Therapy at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in 1999.
